This has gone towards providing our free advice helpline and supporting our face to face intensive services across the country. Last year we received 450,000 calls to our helpline and without the donations from Nationwide, thousands of these calls would’ve gone unanswered.
I’d like to thank all of the Nationwide employees and customers who have given us their time - participating in our recent Christmas Slippers for Shelter campaign, running marathons and volunteering in our shops, for example. The money raised has all helped us make sure no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness alone.
Every day we speak to people who face losing the roof over their family’s heads. Hearing the worry in a parent’s voice doesn’t get any easier, and sadly more and more people are coming to us every day, desperate for support. It’s heart-breaking to imagine someone facing homelessness with nowhere to turn, but your donations can help us to be there for everyone who needs us, so thank you so much for your support.
