As a modern mutual building society we have no shareholders to please. Instead Nationwide is run for the benefit of our members and this is the foundation of our sustainability as a business.
We go to considerable lengths to listen to what our members tell us. We have responded with improved services, making it simpler and easier to do business with us. Once again this year we encouraged our members to have a say in the running of their Society and for the first time members were able to vote online at our 2007 Annual General Meeting.
