Nationwide Building Society is pleased to announce that it has appointed Phil Goodridge-Reynolds to the role of Branch Manager for the new branch in Glastonbury. He will head up the new branch when it opens next Summer.
Phil is the first member of the new Glastonbury team and joins from the Society’s Crewkerne branch. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in Nationwide’s branch network for five years, in roles as Customer Host, Customer Representative, Operations Manager and more recently as Branch Manager.
Commenting on his new role, Phil Goodridge-Reynolds, Branch Manager, Nationwide Building Society said: “I'm really excited to be involved in bringing financial services back to the high street in Glastonbury. For me, the key is involving the people of the town so that we really can be part of building society in the local community. I see the blend of technology like Nationwide NOW and the personal service my team will offer as the key to success and I’m looking forward to showing the local people how this combination makes Nationwide a viable addition to their town. I will be visiting Glastonbury in the coming months and I hope to meet our members, old and new, and talk to them about what the branch will mean for them.”
The Society is holding a series of community engagement events in the run-up to the branch opening next year, the first of which will take place on Saturday 17 December in Glastonbury Town Hall at 10am – 1pm. The community is invited to come along, meet the new Branch Manager and hear more about Nationwide. All the details can be found at
Notes to Editor:
Nationwide Building Society announced on 18 November 2016 that following a public consultation with the local community, it would open a branch in Glastonbury in the first half of 2017. Over 1,000 residents indicated that they would be willing in principle to open a Nationwide account to support the Society’s investment in the branch.
Opening in the heart of the town next Summer, the branch will see the return of a financial services provider to the area. The branch will combine the very latest in new technology coupled with the very best customer service, delivered by Nationwide colleagues who will be on hand to provide advice and support to its members.
