Product update: new credit card offers

Nationwide has today launched a new introductory purchase and balance transfer offer on its Select Credit Card and Nationwide Credit Card. Select Credit Card customers will also now benefit from an introductory £25 reward.

The cards will now offer new customers1 looking to transfer an existing balance 0% interest for the first 12 months with no balance transfer fee applying. The cards also offer no interest charges on new purchases for the first 12 months.

The Select Credit Card, which is available to main current account customers2, is also offering customers who spend or undertake a BT for at least £25 on the card within the first 60 days an additional £25 reward on top of the 0.5% cashback already available on all sterling purchases. The Select Credit Card will continue to offer customers commission free usage abroad.

All previous balance transfer and introductory purchase offers have been withdrawn.

Notes to Editors

1 Introductory offers are available to new account openings where the customer has not held a Nationwide credit card for at least the past year. Introductory rates apply from the date the account is opened.

2 The Select Credit Card is available to members over the age of 18 who use their Nationwide FlexAccount or FlexOne Account as their main current account or hold a Nationwide FlexDirect or FlexPlus account.

To qualify as a main FlexAccount holder, you must hold a FlexAccount with a Visa debit card (not a cash card or cash card +) and:

  • Have been paying in £750+ a month for the last 3 months (excluding internal transfers);
    or
  • Completed an account switch to us (from a non-Nationwide account) using our Current Account Switch Team in the last 4 months

Nationwide credit cards are available to those aged 18+ and are subject to circumstances. Nationwide subscribes to the Lending Code.
