Nationwide Building Society’s Laura Hogg, Senior Citizenship Manager, Corporate Affairs, has been crowned Nationwide Employee of The Year at the Society’s annual employee awards. The Society’s most prestigious accolade was awarded to Laura who lives in Old Town, in recognition of her role within the Society’s internal communications team and her focus on delivering an excellent service to her colleagues at Nationwide.
Alison Robb, Nationwide Group Director, said: “Congratulations to Laura on winning the award. She was selected from over 1,000 nominations made throughout the year and to receive the top prize from an organisation consisting of around 17,000 employees is a great achievement.
“Laura is committed to delivering a fantastic service to her colleagues, which ultimately benefits Nationwide’s members. Her energy and drive inspire the trust and confidence of those around her and that makes her a wonderful ambassador for the Society.”
The Annual Awards Event is the highlight of the Nationwide calendar, recognising the Society’s highest performers for their commitment to delivering excellent customer service, maximising their performance, and for being an inspirational force amongst their colleagues. Nationwide’s top performers from across the business attended the event and shared the celebrations.
Speaking at the event Laura said: “I’m delighted to have won and wasn’t expecting it at all, it’s a real honour. I’m looking forward to getting out and about across the business to meet lots of people over the next few months.”
Also being recognised at the awards was Lynn Banagan, Head of Service Management for Group Operations. Lynn, from Meysey Hampton, near Cirencester, won the Paul McAllister Executive Leader of the Year award and was commended for her leadership style and unrivalled expertise within Nationwide’s IT and programme community.
