Nationwide Building Society employees from Chard Branch were the talk of the town at Nationwide’s Annual Awards, winning Branch of the Year.
The Annual Awards event is the highlight of the Nationwide calendar. The Awards recognise the Society’s highest performers from across the business for their commitment to delivering excellent customer service, raising the bar in their day to day performance and inspiring trust amongst customers and colleagues.
The team at Chard Branch was recognised for the trust and reputation they have with their customers, and for being the hub of the Chard community.
Alison Robb, Nationwide Group Director, said: “This is a real triumph for Chard. Putting members first is very important to employees at the branch and this has resulted in their position as one of Nationwide’s top ten branches for customer service across the UK. Chard is a fantastic example of how good teamwork and excellent customer service creates a winning combination, not just for the employees who have been recognised but for the Nationwide members who benefit from their services. The team have also had a great impact on the local community, organising several charity events including a sponsored walk and cycle.
Branch Manager, Darryl Sunnick, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and we are delighted to have won this award. We are committed to providing great customer service to our members and pride ourselves on making this a real team effort. I feel honoured to work alongside such a great bunch of people and I am pleased that all our hard work has been recognised”.
