Recognition for a number of star performers from Nationwide and The Mortgage Works has seen both brands pick up awards for outstanding service throughout 2012.
Nationwide has been awarded Best Lender for Intermediary Products by the Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) Awards, in recognition of the Society’s support for first-time buyers, new build and affordable housing schemes.
Nationwide subsidiary The Mortgage Works was singled out for the award for Best Specialist Lender, highlighted in particular for consistently supporting the Buy to Let market in 2012.
At the Personal Touch Financial Services awards, Nationwide was awarded the title of Best Overall Lender, while The Mortgage Works was named Best Buy to Let Lender of the Year.
Outstanding individual performances were also rewarded, with two of Nationwide’s Business Development Managers also recognised by the Mortgage Advice Bureau for their support of MAB advisers. Simon Cockerill (Midlands Region) was named ‘Best Business Development Manager’, while Jayne Lawrence (North West Region) was awarded second place.
Gary Salter, Nationwide’s Head of Corporate Accounts, Group Intermediary Sales, said: "Winning these awards, including the prestigious Overall Lender of the Year, was an excellent endorsement of our intermediary proposition and acknowledges our commitment to the intermediary market.
“It is great to be recognised by the industry, not only for the high quality of the products and support, but also for our continued emphasis on delivering outstanding service to advisers and their clients.”
Jonathan White, Commercial Director of Personal Touch, said: “It’s clear from our members’ feedback that Nationwide’s investment in both the quality of its business development team and the technology infrastructure has helped them to deliver high quality advice and an exceptional service to meet their clients’ needs.”
